Public Safety
John believes that keeping people safe must always be a top priority. During his career, he has served Nevada in various positions, including as Chief of the Clark County Fire Department, a first responder, Clark County’s emergency manager, and a member of the Homeland Security Commission.
-
Education
Students, parents, teachers, and administrators alike recognize that our schools are not where they need to be. Nevada consistently ranks at or near the bottom in education rankings. While John believes that Nevada has great and passionate educators who deserve to be commended, he knows that we have a long way to go to give Nevada families access to high-quality education.
-
Economic Development
During times of economic crisis, Nevada is often one of the hardest hit due to our reliance on tourism. When people nationwide are hurting, the first step they take is to cancel plans to travel to states like ours. While gaming will always be a crucial part of our economy, John believes Nevada must work to diversify Nevada’s business landscape by elevating businesses in Nevada and attracting new businesses to move here.

Healthcare
Nevada has many excellent doctors but a significant shortage of them. It can take months just to get in to see someone you need, affecting Nevadans from all walks of life.
John believes we must give our medical practitioners the best environment to provide care and expand the educational resources available to them. It is one of John’s top priorities to make Nevada a national leader in healthcare, provider ratios, and access to care.
